The Endless Circuit

Springtime Blossoms
Right now it's spring, I have a lot of time on my hands and it seems like nothing ever really changes around here. The days continue. My life continues. It's a circle without a break in it.
Summer, fall, winter, spring, repeat.

The Green Light of Summer
Isn't that the circuit of year after year? Isn't it just endless repetition of seasons? Yes people change, but the earth repeats. Isn't it boring? If it is really boring, how can winter come every year and still take my breath away when it robes the trees in a shimmering white mantle, glazing over the lakes and rivers in shining ice? How can it be boring when you never explore each and every detail of each and every season? Not only the details, but just imagine the uniqueness of each season! The Creator saw that everything he created was very good and so allowed it to continue, ever circling in its majestic repetitiveness. Its as if the earth was on instant repeat because it is so darn good! So then why do I feel like I get bored every now and then?
The Real Problem With Boredom

Autumn Glories
Right now as I consider everything around me, how my farm, school and daily walk make up pretty much all of my life, I also consider why I tend to tire of repetition. There isn't anything big and exciting happening these days, so daily life is all I have to work with. The wise saying of a friend to me was this: life hasn't gotten boring; you have! With this in mind, I like to look at my daily life through the searching eye for joy. This helps me to get into life and live it for real in a way I can laugh every day at the hilarious events of life, little as they are. All I have to do is wake up every day and get excited about the little things. It's not easy to get up early to go outside and milk cows, but it is part of my day and I enjoy doing it. There's always something new happening around me, no matter how average my day is.
That's all I have for now, but, little as it is, I have found these thoughts to be very important to my life. I'm excited to share with you the little stories from my little life in hopes that they will bring a little smile to your day. I hope you will come back here for them!
Until then,
Maggie Rosario
